Drastic and Dangerous Measures

Jun 22, 2022

It’s going to be a very challenging summer. Jane’s Revenge, the group that firebombed and damaged multiple pro-life centers, this week issued a manifesto for increased violence and destruction, in part: “We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack. ... We promised to take increasingly drastic measures. ... Rest assured that we will, and those measures may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti.”

When the Dobbs abortion decision is released, they will gather at 10 p.m., and “anything goes.”

The manifesto is chilling. And you can count on the fact that this group is also threatening members of Congress. Senate Democrats are pushing a vote on an abortion bill that would be even more extreme than Roe v. Wade. Already this bill has 48 total co-sponsors in the Senate. It needs just two of four pro-abortion senators to destroy the filibuster.

One vote in the U.S. Senate could erase 50 years of work to protect innocent human life!

The culture of death and evil is being unmasked. We have fought so hard to get to the point of overturning Roe v. Wade in the U.S. Supreme Court. But if we allow an abortion bill to pass, it will override every state law, including the bans on gruesome third-trimester partial birth abortion, requirements for parental consent or notification, and even sanitary clinic regulations.

There is no time to waste. Make your voice heard today. Fax as many people in Congress as possible with your urgent demands to let these children live. — Mat

An abortion bill already passed the U.S. House (HR 3755). The Senate Judiciary Committee already held a hearing on the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021” (S 1975). There are four pro-abortion senators who say they want to keep the filibuster. They just need two of these four to cave on the filibuster to erase every single pro-life law.

The bills on Capitol Hill right now erase all of the following state or federal laws or requirements:

Waiting periods.

Informed consent.

All “restrictions that shame and stigmatize people seeking abortion services” such as ultrasounds.

Parental involvement (of both notification and consent).

Anything “reducing the availability of abortion services.”

Late-term abortion, thus permitting the gruesome “partial birth abortion” where a baby is pulled breech out of the womb with only the head in the uterus while the base of the baby’s skull is punctured and the brains are sucked out—all while the baby is still alive.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, by using Rule 14, can bring this bill to the Senate floor at any moment. They are rushing because they fear the outcome of the Dobbs abortion case at the Supreme Court.

On the cusp of this Supreme Court decision, we cannot let this bill pass. Act now to send faxes to as many senators as possible to demand they block this deadly bill.

The fight is just beginning. Already states like California, Colorado and others are toying with a bill that permits killing full-term babies up to nearly a week after they are born, if the death/murder is “due to a pregnancy-related cause.”

Since the entire baby and its birth is “pregnancy-related,” it would be hard to come up with a death that was not “a pregnancy-related cause.” This is bloodcurdling.

America is facing a massive battle over abortion this year. Sandra Merritt revealed in her undercover videos that some abortionists were aborting babies and harvesting their organs while the babies were still alive. And in D.C., shocking pictures of babies aborted late term recently surfaced.

We must fight for these precious children. Send faxes right away to block this bill and give these children a better chance to grow up, laugh, play and learn.

The California bill erases the requirement for a coroner to investigate a newborn’s death. At the same time, if a coroner does investigate and finds a suspicious cause of death, this bill will “prohibit using the coroner’s statements … to establish, bring, or support a criminal prosecution or civil cause of damages against any person.”

So, IF a coroner decided to investigate and IF the coroner found evidence of the murder of a 6-day-old baby, this bill would prevent the prosecution from using this evidence.

This leaves helpless children hopelessly blocked from ever getting justice.

Do you know where your legislators stand? This is an issue of life or death. I hope you will make your voice heard in their local and national offices.

In a midterm election year, some members of Congress are more willing to listen to the voice of the people. Your faxes put these senators and representatives on notice that we care about these children and demand immediate action.

LC Action staff are working on Capitol Hill to make your faxes more effective and reach beyond what your faxes can do with our elected officials.

Every time you donate to Liberty Counsel Action, you help us take this fight further down the halls of Congress. Please consider a monthly donation to our organization or a one-time gift to help us do more. We deeply appreciate your prayers and support in this life-and-death battle.

Thanks to our Challenge Grant, your monthly recurring donation or one-time gift to our organization today can be DOUBLED in impact.

I tremble because a God of justice cannot prolong judgment in the face of this kind of evil.
