Dean Shawn Akers, Esq., is the Dean of Liberty University’s Helms School of Government and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law. He regularly works with national conservative, faith-based, and public policy leaders and organizations on matters of public policy, lobbying, and elections. Dr. Akers has served as a Policy Analyst with Liberty Counsel, has drafted a variety of scholarly and popular articles and policy analyses, and has been a guest or co-host on national radio programs discussing political and public policy issues. Dr. Akers provides counsel to public officeholders and has served as a consultant to political candidates and campaigns. Dr. Akers earned his Juris Doctorate and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Regent University. Dr. Akers served as a member of the Regent University Law Review and represented the law school in Trial Practice competitions. After successful private practice, Dr. Akers joined Liberty University School of Law. During his tenure at the law school, Dr. Akers designed and launched the law school’s first public policy courses which cover all aspects of public policy, including running political campaigns, as well as election law, lobbying, grassroots activism, nonprofit and political organizational structures, political action committees, and proposing and drafting public policy.


Rep. Michele Bachmann, Esq., (R-MN) is the first Republican woman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota. In only her first term, Congresswoman Bachmann developed a reputation as a "principled reformer" who stays true to her conservative beliefs while pushing for real reform of the broken ways of Washington. Her strong advocacy for her constituents earned her a second term in Congress in November 2008. Congresswoman Bachmann currently sits on the Financial Services Committee, which is tasked with the oversight of numerous financial sectors including housing, real estate, and banking. This gives the Congresswoman keen insight into the housing crisis and credit crunch, leading her to be a staunch opponent of the taxpayer-funded bailout of Wall Street. Congresswoman Bachmann is a graduate of Anoka High School and Winona State University. Bachmann and her husband, Marcus, live in Stillwater, where they own a small business, which is a mental healthcare practice that employs 42 people. The Bachmanns have five children, Lucas, Harrison, Elisa, Caroline, and Sophia. In addition, the Bachmanns have opened their home to 23 foster children, which has inspired Congresswoman Bachmann to become one of Congress’s leading advocates for foster and adopted children, earning bipartisan praise for her efforts.


Matt Barber, Esq., is an attorney concentrating in constitutional law. He serves as Associate Dean and Adjunct Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law. In addition to his law degree, Matt holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Regent University. Matt is a published, freelance columnist. Many newspapers and online publications regularly run his columns, including The Washington Times, The Washington Examiner, WorldNetDaily.com, TownHall.com. In addition to frequent public speaking engagements, Matt has appeared as a cultural analyst on the Fox News Channel, MSNBC and CNN and is a regular guest on dozens of talk radio programs and networks, including Michael Savage, the G. Gordon Liddy Show, Dennis Prager, the Michael Medved Show, the Michael Reagan Show and others. Matt also co-hosts Faith and Freedom, a daily legal and cultural issues talk radio program heard on 90 stations across the country. Mr. Barber has a background in political campaigns, and is Vice President of Liberty Counsel Action. He sits on the boards of the Reagan Institute, Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, and PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays). Matt served twelve years in the Army National Guard, was a law enforcement officer for three years, and a corporate fraud investigator for five years. Setting him apart from others in his field, Matt was an undefeated heavyweight professional boxer, retiring in 2004. Prior to turning pro, he was a several-time state and regional Golden Gloves champion, competing in the 1992 Western Olympic Trials and winning a Gold Medal in the 1993 Police and Fire World Games.


Honorable J. Ken Blackwell is an educator, politician and activist and was also a diplomat and finance executive. As Ohio’s 51st Secretary of State, he was the state’s constitutional officer chiefly responsible for elections, the management of business records, and the protection of intellectual property and corporate identities. In 1994 he became the first African-American elected to a statewide executive office in Ohio when he was elected Treasurer of State. Mr. Blackwell is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and a former member of the federal Senior Executive Service. He is co-Chairman of the board of directors of the Campaign Finance Institute in Washington, D.C., a member of the Advisory Panel of the Federal Elections Commission, and a member of the Harvard Policy Group on Network-Enabled Services and Government. Mr. Blackwell is a member of the national advisory boards of the Princeton Review and Youth for Christ. Several of his speeches and lectures have been published in “Vital Speeches of the Day.” His commentaries have been carried in major newspapers across the United States, including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, as well as all major newspapers in Ohio. He is a regular guest commentator for Salem Communications. He also has been a frequent guest on network and broadcast news and public affairs programs, including The O’Reilly Factor, Crossfire, Inside Politics, The Jim Lehrer Newshour, and Hardball with Chris Matthews.


William BoykinWilliam G. “Jerry” Boykin is a retired Lieutenant General of the Army who currently serves as Family Research Council’s Executive Vice President, with responsibility for overseeing day-to-day operations including policy, church ministries, finance, development, communications, human resources, facilities, information technology, constituent communications and customer service. He was one of the original members of the US Army’s Delta Force. He was privileged to command these elite warriors in combat operations. Later, Jerry Boykin commanded all the Army’s Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School. Lt. Gen. Boykin spent 36 years in the army, serving his last four years as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. He is an ordained minister with a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christians to become warriors in God’s Kingdom. Boykin and his wife Ashley enjoy spending time with their five children and growing number of grandchildren.


Tony Calatayud is the National Director for Salem Espanol, the 7 station Spanish language division of publicly traded Salem Communications. Tony was given the charge of creating the division from its genesis in 2007. During the next 18 months, he identified and launched the ‘Radio Luz’ brand of Hispanic Christian Talk/Teach programming in Denver, Atlanta, Boston, Sacramento, Seattle, Omaha and Miami. Tony also is General Manager of Salem’s successful Miami cluster of stations since 2006 which include 1080AM-WMCU (English Christian), 1360AM-WKAT (Spanish Christian) and 880AM-WZAB (Business Radio). His background includes investment banking, television, international business, motivational speaking and radio including being the founder of a Hispanic Christian radio station in Miami from 2001-2005. Tony has been on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB) since 2005. He is also on National Board of Directors of the (NHCLC), the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the nations top evangelical Hispanic organization encompassing over 31,000 churches under its umbrella. In addition, Tony is the founder and Chairman of the growing Hispanic Conservative group, Conservadores, based in Coral Gables, Florida which was one of the earliest supporters of the Marco Rubio for US Senate campaign and was 6 for 6 as to assisting Hispanic candidates in the 2010 election cycle to win their respective races.


Mandi D. Campbell, Esq., is an attorney with Liberty Counsel, a Foundations of Law Instructor with Liberty University, a published author of both popular articles and a scholarly law review publication, and she has been a speaker or panelist at multiple conferences and seminars. Mandi also formerly served as the Legal Director of the Liberty Center for Law and Policy and the Director of Public Policy for Liberty Counsel Action. In her role with the Liberty Center for Law and Policy, a partnership between the Liberty University School of Law and Liberty Counsel, Mandi monitored and analyzed legislation and policy and worked with local, state, and federal elected and appointed officials and agencies in drafting legislation that relates to the sanctity of life, the family, and religious liberties. Mandi also interfaced with elected and appointed government officials to open opportunities for internships and externships for Liberty University School of Law students. As Director of Public Policy for Liberty Counsel Action, Mandi communicated with elected representatives, encouraging them to cast votes that are values-based. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.


Carlos Campo, Ph.D., is President of Regent University. He joined Regent as Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2008, following an impressive 20-year career in higher education. Campo has led a Regent University team to full accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Working with Regent's Board of Trustees, Campo helped form a Spiritual Vitality Committee, which initiates and enhances spiritual activities on campus to sustain the University’s Christ-centered mission. In addition, he worked with an effective team to launch RU Global and Regent University’s Quality Enhancement Plan, which focuses on defining and enhancing Christian global competence in students and faculty. A much-sought-after speaker, Campo delivered a keynote address at the third annual Encuentro, held at Virginia State University. He also delivered the commencement address at the International University in Vienna, receiving an honorary doctorate. Campo is a four-time recipient of one of academia’s most coveted recognitions, “Who’s Who Among American Teachers,” an accolade that is student-generated, recognizing a professor who has had a significant impact on the nominating student’s life.


Bradlee DeanBradlee Dean is the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit ministry, You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International, which has reached over 500,000 youth in schools across the country. He hosts a nationally syndicated radio show, The Sons of Liberty, a hard-hitting radio program which attacks the hot issues of today, combats the lies in the media, and re-establishes the Judeo-Christian foundation of our country. As a syndicated columnist for over 30 outlets including WND, Western Journalism, and the Liberty Alliance group, he is author of the autobiographical graphic novel, My War. Bradlee’s most recent project is a television mini-series documentary titled, My War, which he authored, produced, directed, and narrated. Bradlee Dean is also drummer for the second-best unsigned band in the nation called Junkyard Prophet. He has been featured on outlets such as FOX News, MSNBC, The New York Times and The Weekly Standard. And even after all this, Bradlee’s most rewarding title and position is serving as husband and “Daddy” to four little boys.


Frank de VaronaFrank de Varona is an educator, historian, journalist, and internationally known expert on politics, economics, foreign affairs, and national security issues. Mr. de Varona was born in Cuba. At the age of 17, he participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion in an effort to eradicate communism in Cuba. After the defeat, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison and served two years. When Mr. de Varona returned to the United States, he continued his education and received a Bachelor’s degree in political science and economics and a certificate in Latin American studies from the University of Florida. He earned a Master’s degree in social studies at the University of Miami and a Specialist in Education degree in educational administration and supervision at the University of Florida. He completed additional graduate work at the University of Florida, FIU, and Boston University. Mr. de Varona is the Miami director of Bear Witness Central and writes articles for its two Websites in both English and Spanish.


Jim Bob & Michelle DuggarJim Bob & Michelle Duggar are stars in their hit television series, 19 Kids and Counting. Barrett Duke, Jr., Ph.D., is Vice President for Public Policy and Research and Director of the Research Institute of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), the Southern Baptist Convention’s agency for addressing social, moral, and religious liberty concerns. He has been with the agency since 1997. As Vice President for Public Policy and Research, Barrett directs the ERLC’s advocacy efforts through its Washington, D.C., office, communicating Southern Baptist convictions to elected and public officials in order to influence the development of sound public policy. Barrett has provided testimony before Congress and worked with legislators and various government agencies on many legislative and public policy issues, including abortion, euthanasia, gambling, homosexuality, hunger, judicial nominations, pornography, public education, poverty, religious liberty, sex trafficking, stem cell research, and substance abuse. A Founding Fellow of the Research Institute, Barrett oversees the Commission’s research and collection of data on a wide range of moral and religious liberty issues and meets twice annually with the distinguished Fellows to share research and formulate responses on today’s crucial issues. Barrett was president of the Denver Association Pastors' Conference from 1992 to 1993. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in San Francisco from 1991 to 1996. He has also served as a professor of Old Testament, Hebrew, and Ethics. Prior to his current position, Barrett was the founding pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado, from 1984 to 1996.


Cynthia Dunbar, Esq., is an Assistant Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law and has almost twenty years of experience in private law practice. In addition to her experiences in law, Prof. Dunbar has been extensively involved in Public Policy and Governmental Relations. In 2006 she was elected to the highly controversial Texas State Board of Education, to serve a four-year term through December 31, 2010. Her district encompasses 16 counties with approximately 1.5 million constituents. However, her work involving adoption of textbooks has had national impact and received both national and international media attention. Her efforts have earned her a position on Keith Olbermann’s Worst of the Worse and Right-Wing Watch, and she has been vilified in the New York Times and the London Guardian, all of which she wears as a badge of honor. She has been detailed in a feature article in the New York Times Magazine, on Hardball with Chris Matthews, on Fox News, and is a regular contributor on Fox and Friends. She is the Author of One Nation Under… and frequently travels around the nation discussing the Biblical framework for civil jurisprudence and America’s founding.


Keith FournierKeith A. Fournier Esq., is a Deacon of the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia, who serves as the Director of Adult Faith Formation at Saint Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. Deacon Fournier is a widely recognized voice in both the Catholic and broader Christian community. He is the Editor of Catholic Online (http://www.catholic.org), the largest Catholic Integrated Media Network in the world, next to the Holy See. He is a graduate of the Franciscan University of Steubenville, the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law, and the John Paul II Institute on Marriage and Family of the Lateran University. He is currently a PhD candidate in Moral Theology at the Catholic University of America. He has practiced law for thirty one years, much of that time focusing on constitutional law. Robert Gittelson is the Co-founder of Conservatives for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. After studying Economics at the University of Southern California, Robert Gittelson spent almost 30 years as an Apparel Manufacturer and Importer. He built his business working shoulder to shoulder with immigrants, and has a thorough understanding of the value that the immigrant population brings to our economy, as well as to our society. A frequent speaker at symposiums and panel discussions across America on immigration, he is the author of over 50 published articles, essays, and journal articles on the subject of Comprehensive Immigration Reform.


Meredith GoadMeredith Goad is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where she traveled with LIGHT Ministries, a vocal missions group. Upon graduating, she worked full-time touring the world with the vocal group MISSION as an ambassador for Jesus Christ and World Help International. She is an active member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee where she lives with her husband of ten years, Elisha and their four-year-old son Cooper.




Adriana Gonzalez is the Founder of Catholics Called to Witness, a faith-based organization dedicated to upholding and promoting religious liberty, “our first, most cherished liberty,” three non-negotiable principles (as stressed by Pope Benedict XVI), and encourages the Catholic community to participate in the public arena. Adriana has dedicated much of the last three years to the protection of parental rights as the Florida State Coordinator of ParentalRights.org, where she worked to pass the Parental Rights Memorial in the Florida legislature in 2011. Adriana is blessed to be married to her best friend, Manny. Together they are raising and homeschooling their seven children.


Thomas Hall is the Co-founder of Hall and Brown Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in networking, event planning, production and marketing. Thomas is a gifted networker and strategist who knows how to connect the dots and exceed expectations. He has developed working relationships with major ministries and political groups across the country. He has consulted with such candidates as Newt Gingrich and Todd Akin, producing events, bus tours, and providing strategic planning expertise. Previously, he worked as Associate Director for TheCall and was responsible for the planning, mobilization, and marketing of more than 20 stadium events. Thomas thinks big, and he delivers.



Debbie Hart is a talented singer. Debbie has performed for churches, conventions and conferences across the United States as well as overseas. Debbie's newest CD, “Still Praising Him,” was released in 2011. In 2010 she traveled to the Holy Land with a tour hosted by Gov. Mike Huckabee and was honored to be asked to sing on the trip along with Pat Boone. She is currently the Vice-President of Investor Relations for the Timothy Plan, a Biblically based mutual fund, located in Maitland, Florida.





Bishop Harry JacksonHarry R. Jackson, Jr. is senior pastor of Hope Christian Church, a 3,000-member congregation. Having earned an MBA from Harvard, Bishop Jackson approaches ministry from a unique perspective. His writing is featured in periodicals such as Charisma, Christian Parenting, Kairos, New Man, Ministry Today, The Church Report, The Christian Post, and the Elijah List. His articles on Townhall.com and other websites are widely read, and his articles have been featured in the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Associated Press, and others. Victoria HearstVictoria Hearst is the daughter of Catherine Campbell Hearst and Randolph Apperson Hearst and the granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst, the head of the media empire and benefactor of what is often called the "Hearst Castle." Victoria formed Praise Him Ministries in 2001, which includes Praise Productions Christian Store and Ridgway Christian Center. She has a Sunday morning radio show called “Praise Him.” Victoria is a pro-life advocate and a strong supporter of Israel. Victoria preaches the Gospel, as well as covering today’s issues, both moral and political.




Cindy Jacobs is President and Co-founder, with her husband, Mike, of Generals of Intercession, a missionary organization dedicated to training in the areas of prayer and spiritual warfare. She is also coordinator of the U.S. Spiritual Warfare Network. She has two doctorates, a Doctor of Divinity from Christian International in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and the other from the Asian Theological Association for her work with unreached people groups. Cindy and Mike have two grown children and live in Colorado.



 

Phillip Jauregui, Esq., is the President of the Judicial Action Group, a former member of the Council for National Policy, a past board member for the crisis pregnancy center Sav-A-Life, Prison Fellowship, and Wealth Counsel, the largest national organization of estate and trust planning attorneys. He also serves as a trustee of Church of the Highlands. In 2006 he was appointed to the Honor Corps of the Alliance Defense Fund. Mr. Jauregui is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, as well as all Alabama state and local courts. He has worked with and continues to work with attorneys in over 45 states. Mr. Jauregui has served as a guest host for talk radio shows, has appeared on Fox News Hannity & Colmes, CNN's Paula Zahn Show, CNBC's Capitol Report, ABC's Good Morning America, and other news programs. His legal work has been featured in various publications, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and others.


Timothy Johnson, Ph.D., is the Founder and Chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation. Timothy made history on June 13, 2009, when he was elected Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, becoming the first African-American to hold the position since the party’s inception March 27, 1867. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where he earned the Boy Scouts of America’s highest rank, the Eagle Scout Award, at the age of 14, and became interested in politics. The Frederick Douglass Foundation is a public policy and educational organization, which brings the sanctity of free market and limited government ideas to bear on the hardest problems facing our nation. It is a collection of pro-active individuals committed to developing innovative and new approaches to today's problems, with the assistance of elected officials, scholars from universities and colleges, and community activists. He completed 21 years of military service with the United States Army, serving as enlisted soldier and commissioned officer. His military honors include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Device, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, and Soldier of the Month. Twice elected Chairman of the Buncombe County, NC, Republican Party, Dr. Johnson was a delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention, and a panelist at the 2008 Black Republican Forum in New York. He is an adjunct professor at Shaw University.


Rev. Rick Joyner is the Founder of MorningStar Publications and Ministries, which is comprised of many ministry programs and publications. MorningStar Minitries in an international outreach of ministries and churches. Joyner is also the founder of The Oak Initiative, a grassroots movement to unite, mobilize, equip, and activate Christians to be the salt and light they are called to be by engaging in the great issues of our time from a sound biblical worldview.
